People watching
Went to Shibuya crossing today - busiest zebra crossing ever. So many people passing through all the time, it's incredible!
Spent about 2 hours around here. To start with I found a place to sit near the crossing so that as people walked over the road, I was able to pick people out of the crowds with my 50mm lens. It's aperture is so wide that it can isolate a single person in a ground which was what I really wanted to try and do.
Then went and sat in the starbucks for quite a while - it looks directly over the crossing. This animation was taken from the exact spot I was sitting in fact (not my animation, just an example of where I was sitting) Although it should be noted that that animation shows Shibuya crossing at it's absolute quietest... it's normally far more packed that this. Met Adam's boss here for a meal one night, it was insanely crowded - it wasn't even a friday/saturday!
Really enjoyed sitting and trying to get good 'people watching' photos. Although it does bring up the issue of whether I should be getting consent from the subjects, but when it's such a fast moving crowd, where the subject is only around for a matter of seconds, it doesn't really seem possible.
Looks like she's staring me down in image, but it was only a quick glance really!
