Serendipity

This is the old walled garden at Amisfield, Haddington which is being restored by volunteers. We went along to support their open afternoon. It was beautiful and huge. I'd love to help out but not until I'm retired. We enjoyed the tea and cake in the sun.
When we left it was such a warm evening we decided to go to Gullane beach. I was really thinking about my son while we were there as I used to take him there regularly when he was younger. After a paddle in the sea we decided to head home. But to my surprise, there was my son's car... So we got to meet his girl for the first time on the beach! She has a nice smile. Sadly they didn't want to join us for dinner. But it was a nice meeting.
