Back to normal!

I found this beautiful Grey Dagger (Acronicta psi)larva while in Colchester. There were three of them and my friends pointed them out to me on the first day, by the following day there was just the one! I don't know if the other two had wandered away to pupate or a bird had come along and eaten them but I was quite sad. Consequently I rescued this one, and I will look after it till hatches next year.
I think as larvae go it is quiet spectacular, I hope you will enjoy it too
