Notting Hill Carnival

I had a fairly quick visit to Notting Hill Carnival today...I saw a few floats, heard the loudest music I've heard for a whole year since my last visit (it actually rattles your bones!), resisted a mid-afternoon feast from the hundreds of food stalls, (though the food looked extremely tasty) and opted for a red velvet cup cake again from the Hummingbird bakery instead of goat. 'Twas a fun, very lively afternoon...and I think the costumes might have been a little uncomfortable in the mid-afternoon heat...especially this spectacular headwear!
