The Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally.

We took a stroll down to Ryde Pier today to watch the masses of Mods on their scooters take off from the starting point if their rally around the island route.

I've never seen anything like it!

There were thousands! The place sounded lie the biggest, most aggressive hairdryer in the entire world! Pretty incredible, and so very glad we didn't miss out.

It's been very dull here today, yet very humid and stuffy. I guess the beating sun would have actually ruined it for the chaps sporting the thick parka jackets anyway.

A very good bank holiday high so far :)

I called my dad up just as all of the scooters started their engines, so he could hear the amazing sound. He told me that my mum used to be a Mod, and sported a rather nice Abercombie jacket herself back in the day.
