Strange looking ship

There's a strange looking ship moored in Macduff harbour - saw it there back in July but this is the first time I've been back down to the harbour since then with my camera. Its marked "STV-02" which some googling has revealed is a Shock Test Vessel from the Admiralty which was used to study the effects of underwater explosions. That's all I know about it - don't know if its here for repair, scrapping or to be converted into something else at the yard.
