Pick Floyd
Was invited down to Gosfest by Alan Robertson of Pick Floyd to cover their set. Donned my hi vis and pass and set about getting a few levels, angles on the band before Pick Floyd, Hidden Alibi, which in themselves were pretty good.. Stage at Gosfest was brill... but always a little apprehensive about shooting a band in daylight as you dont the full effect of lights,, especially with a atmospheric band like Pick Floyd, they had a couple of deputies in the line up as well.. hugh on drums and ash on keys .. When Pick Floyd came on stage the crowd massed in front of the stage.. around 2999 im guessing ..within the first couple of numbers it was buzzing... the band were enjoying the set as much as the crowd..everyone loves a bit of floyd..Mike Blatchford then done his stint on the mike like only he can.. no one can accuse him of being static ...what a character...sounded brilliant on the sax... yup he done a good nites work ! ...Pick Floyd finished with Comfortably Numb...fair to say the whole set was a crowd pleaser...the boys done good...said my goodbyes backstage and the band were buzzing ..think this was the nite that you get into playing live music for ...i could only guess what a buzz it is to play ...meanwhile...ill carry on pointing the camera at these bands and enjoy being a small part of the Pick Floyd experience.
