The English Heritage lady said they had 14,000 visitors Sat and Sun,another 7000 expected today. Went up there at opening time,already 500 people waiting for the `Go`. French,Polish,Chinese,Russian,Indian, German,Canada,USA,the odd Brit and half a dozen languages I could not make out. By the time I got out it was just a heaving mass. Sooner the new centre opens the better. As for the traffic along the A303-- well I`m glad I walked. Even the Ravens have got fed up with it all and wait till closing time before returning. Still I suppose for thousands who have never seen the Stones in the `flesh`before --well its one not to forget.
