Terra Natura

Is the biggest and maybe the only zoo in Benidorm? I don't really like zoos being against animal captivity and all that BUT i contradicted myself as this zoo was throwing a party for one of the elephants and they were having a big Indian festival with all the color dust etc. ( i would of used one of those pictures for this blip but i got very few as i got colored water tipped all over me and because most of the color dust was red, it looks like a massacre rather than a festival!

SO! i decided on this one as this bird was very interested in what everyone was doing.

although the festival was brill and it was so lovely to get a little insight into a Indian festival i was very let down with the zoo itself! not enough space for the animals, the bird of prey were tied down to logs for god knows how many hours without water, the water for the tigers to swim in had white form and all sorts floating in it! The other elephants were very distressed as they kept rocking side to side. And there was a water park inside the zoo!!! well that is very strange and carnt be very calming for the animals surely?!

Maybe it was due to the time of year and it starting to run down, but i was purely disgusted and for sure will not be returning.
