At last!

The second distillation went well and we ended up with 52.4% in the cask (due to the small cask, John says the normal 60%+ used at the big distilleries isn't wise as there's too much evaporation).

On the whisky side a very successful holiday, at least. And it's my party tomorrow. You actually get 5 litres made up, but the casks are only 4l in capacity. The plus side of this is you have a bottle ready to taste - unlike big distillery suff, this is quite drinkable from day one.
