tissue paper poppy

I've been watching the poppies for days, in hope that thay would evolve into bloom before they're hit with the bad weather that's been chinese whispering through rumoursville over the past couple of days. Today one opened.

I adore poppies, moreso because they are so fragile to the wind. Every year a select few open with the first subtle signs of the seasons shifting, only to be destroyed by heavy winds within days. They're one of the few flowers, along with 'honesty' (and dandelions) that actually look more 'beautiful' when their 'official' petals drop.
