Haard labour

A mildly dawdling run into work with a thick haar hanging over Fife and the bridges although it was completely absent on the other side. After taking the bike to get serviced, work was workmanlike and the newly tuned up bike was a nice ride home.

Ellen's in deep trouble after drawing on a leather armchair with ballpoint pen. Ewan's theory is probably correct - the big X on the seat was to indicate the 'treasure' (a coin) under it - but it hardly matters. So, she's doing hard labour by filling the big green garden trolley with offcuts of wood supplied by a friend and (after I've dragged it to its destination) emptying it all into the wood shed. I reckon she's got about 4 loads of that to do. It'll take her all week. Harsh but fair, I reckon.
