Stocking up the larder

I could not find our cats today however I spotted them at the top of the garden transfixed and staring as only cats can at some movement on the bird table. I thought it was a wee Wren on the table but when I got my tele lens on it two big shinny eyes were looking back at me while clutching a peanut in its wee mits.
The wee mouse seemed quite oblivious at the two mesmerised cats just a couple of feet below looking for a new playmate.
The mouse came and went for ages collecting the peanuts then dashing off until the table was bare. Maybe he is expecting a hard winter so is stocking up his larder.
