Butterfly bonanza

Its official - apparently its the best year this century for butterflies in and around Lewes with some rarities like the long-tailed blue and the swallowtail being reported. My own woodland transect has been pretty ordinary compared with the Downland surveys but small tortoiseshells seem to have done particularly well.
