Sir Stanley Spencer

Had a trip to Cookham to see the Stanley Spencer Art Gallery. Wonderfully detailed paintings and brilliant portraits. It was a very enjoyable exhibition.
This painting was not in the gallery but I bought a book of his work and this particular painting struck a chord with me as I have been sorting out my mother's chest of drawers!!
