Try Try again Dogsitting: Day 3
It was a very productive day today. Well except for getting up early. My goal is to get up early enough to have two solid hours to myself before the rest of the house wakes up.
I was making my first attempt. I set my alarm clock on my phone for 6 a.m. and had it right next to the bed on the nightstand. At 6 a.m. I woke to the sound of something but I could not figure out what it was. I was looking around the room and saw my phone illuminated on the nightstand buzzing and dancing like it was alive. I quickly picked it up and I knew only one thing, make the noise stop! I read the button that said Dismiss All and I hit it. Success! I went back to sleep. Ah well.
The fact that I even heard the alarm and was able to shut it off was impressive since I never hear my husband’s alarm go off. If I had gone to bed a little earlier, I might have been able to do it. I’ll get there. Tonight I’ll try going to bed an hour earlier.
Mac was up at 8:30 and was much more successful than my alarm. I had appointments, errands and had to pick up my granddaughter from daycare by
4 p.m. so I made the best of my time. My grandchildren love having Mac here with us and while I was getting ready to run out for a while, my grandson asked if he could walk Mac in the backyard. He came in and told me with enthusiasm that Mac can run with him. He told me to come and watch. I grabbed the camera and watched him and the dog running back and forth together. They were both very happy. I thought it would make a good Blip photo today.
