All Malt from Nikka
Early start for a Bank Holiday and a trip to the gym, followed by some messages up town.
One of which was another trip back to Royal Mile Whisky. Having spoken to them yesterday they were going to see if they could get me a bottle of Auchentoshan Virgin Oak. Turns out it will be here next month as a new release and I can use the Whisky Fringe voucher to get its as well.
While we were there we used the other voucher to get a bottle of All Malt from Nikka distillery. A great Japanese distillery. This dram is unusual in that they use a Coffey still. A Coffey still is more commonly used to make grain whisky for blending but this time it is 100% barley used.
We tried it at the whisky fringe and both liked it.
From there it was back home and then the food shop, before going back for tea.
Booked J's tickets to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as part of her birthday present and sorted out some photos / blips.
Another first for today was me having to gut fish for tea. Nice Sea Bass but I’ve never had to sort it out before cooking it.
Still not sure about this fish lark. Lots of faff just to get some food, but did taste nice.
