Day with my girls :)

Had a 'quiet' one at home with the girls today after a fairly full on fun weekend.
Went for a lovely walk across the railway bridge, and over to the river and canal to play pooh sticks for the first time - they loved it! We had a lot of fun with that (Hollie was a bit of a cheater, but we let her off as she's only little!)
Tried skimming stones, but the water level was a bit too far down from the bank to get the right angle (my excuse!) so will try the lakes for that one . . .
Then the grass trumpets were tried out. I warned the girls about the sharpness of grass . . . Maybe 30 seconds later they then both slashed their fingers open, argh! Blood and much screaming then accompanied us on our walk home! Moshi monster plasters duly applied once we got home and all was good again, lol!
