Blaue Stunde

Blue hour - at least the last minutes of it.

The blip shows the Angel of Peace ("Friedensengel") at Prinzregentenstraße. What is interesting that the depicted "angel" actually is Nike, the Greek goddess of victory - not that peaceful if you asked me. The monument has been built 1896-1899 to commemorate the 25 peaceful years after the Franco-German war in 1870/71. The statue fell off the column in 1981 and was put back up in 1983, after extensive repairs.
