Bottled It
A mixed day, with things to do first thing in the morning, and then trying to get Oliver's room closer to completion (its looking good and being held back as a blip until you can get the full effect...) then a trip to a local pub that had a beer festival on. They had some live music that claimed to be inspired by the hippie movement. It seemed more an excuse to play self indulgent solos and be cleverer than the next man regarding musicology. Beer was good though.
Bottled my latest beer creation today. This time a shorter period of time from fermentation to bottling, no priming sugar and the use of dry hops. From the half pint I tried, its shaping up to be a very nice hoppy pale ale, very much in the style of an American Pale Ale.
These are some of the 40 or so pint bottles required for bottling. Its the bit I hate most. Washing in caustic soda, rinsing, steriliser, rinsing, bottling, capping. It takes so long.
Might open a bottle on my birthday...
