Place of Crows!

Other wise known as La Corbiere lighthouse!
We passed it at sea many, many times on calm sunny days and also on some very wretched stormy nights...always a welcome sight to us.
Not quite so important in these days of GPS but a highly evocative and beautiful building which has stood proud for hundreds of years.
Today, for the first time, we were able to see her from the inside on a fascinating guided tour.
A brilliant 3 hours well spent and thoroughly enjoyed with 2 excellent local guides.
This blip was taken in the lamp house facing west at around 5PM
