University open day
Emma and I left home before 6 this morning to drive to Dundee University - another medical school open day. Following her excellent AS level results and her recent trip to Tanzania, she's really buzzing with enthusiasm. The drive was long and tiring, as the morning started really foggy. We reached Dundee in good time for registration, had a campus tour, sat through an interesting lecture by one of the senior lecturers, and then walked into the town to get a pub lunch. I knew Dundee was a long way away, but was surprised to see the penguins! No idea why they're in the middle of Dundee, but was in a tearing hurry, so didn't have time to check. At least Emma was really impressed by the university, and it's now high on her list, ticking almost all the necessary boxes.
Long drive home, arriving just in time to serve dinner and assess photos this evening.
Tired now after over 400 miles of (shared) driving.
