High Cross

This is the famous High Cross at the ancient monastic settlement of Clonmacnoise on the banks of the river Shannon in Ireland. Yet another place that I never visited before. Every time I've driven west to Galway I've promised myself I'd visit it on the way home, but never did. Finally got around to it, and it was well worth it. It's a beautiful spot and has a rich history.
