Jamaica

After the Basketball Summer Camp at Yerwood, I met up with Vanessa Gidden, Head Coach of Veez Hoops Summer Camp and friend.

We hadn't met since the last Friday of Camp when we filmed the kids getting their awards and the surprise video I created of their four weeks at Yerwood.

It's always pretty hard to come down from something that takes so much of your time when commitments are hitting you left, right and center outside of work pursuits. This project was a challenge and one in which I can honestly say we both succeeded. The kids had a great four weeks and I got to enjoy watching them grow. I also learned a thing or two: I'll never forget Vanessa's talk to the kids about dreams.

It still lingers.

Anyways, we had a catch up over dinner al fresco in Stamford. It was lovely getting a chance to talk about Basketball amongst other things. A highlight of the evening was Vanessa giving me this gift as a thank you. A guitar bag with the Jamaican colours.

It sits pride of place...actually, it perfectly covers my favourite travel guitar.

France in a few weeks and maybe I'll take this cool bag with me.
