Sweet Sixteen
It's James's 16th birthday today - a "coming of age" milestone.
Given the family that were here to celebrate, unfortunately for him, "paint-balling" was not an option! Besides, he had to spend the morning filling in forms and having his picture taken for his student card, at his soon-to-be sixth form college.
Instead, Gran, Grampa, James, Ben and I went out for "afternoon tea" at The Hotel Felix and demolished a table laden with tea (of course), crust-cut-off sandwiches and hitherto never-before-tasted sweet offerings.
It was a lovely treat and the boys really are good company. I doubt that there are very many 16 year old boys that have celebrated their 16th birthday with afternoon tea, so I hope it is an experience he will remember!
Paint-balling can wait until another time :-)
