St Patrick's

This one has an interesting story. Apart from the hideous mock gothic carbuncle attached to the end, (now somewhat inappropriately in use as a branch of William Hill the betting shop), the church is best known locally as a wet shelter, which means the street is occasionally graced by the fragrant presence of clusters of spinning drunks. Getting into slightly more edgy territory, it is rumoured that the previous vicar grew rather too close to a certain member of this community and was forced to resign in the wake of a scandal that claimed he had given money to the unfortunate soul from church funds to buy drugs. Allegedly.
