Pickering Castle

Back-blipping this on Tuesday as Monday was hectic. And a bank holiday Monday too! Can't really complain, we took Friday off so had already had three days of relaxation and socialising, and we had a load of household chores that's been piling up for a while. Also, as we live on a through road to the seaside, we could see from the tortoise-slow traffic outside our window that it was not the day to take a trip out (glad we did this on Friday while everyone else was still working...)

So after this morning walk up to town and round the castle grounds, the day was a whirlwind of lawn mowing, hedge trimming, carpet cleaning and various other chores, occasionally broken up by mealtimes and me going out for a run, writing a pub quiz and all culminating in about two hours or so catching up on two months worth of expenses.

Back to work for a rest now... ;-)
