Lonely outpost

Over the high passes in Kyrgyzstan you occasionally pass summer yurt camps, where people spend 3-4 months per year tending livestock and living semi-nomadic lifestyles, before battening down for winter in one of the towns lower down.

On this barren slope, life here seemed particularly tough, but I don't think you would have found the Krygyz family complaining.
