Old photos

Went over to my Dad's today and he and I looked at the old photos that had been found in a bag in a bookcase, while hubby did some gardening. They turned out to be photos and albums and a few old cards which had belonged to his mother (my grandmother "Nanna"). Among them was this very old photo of Nanna herself aged about 2, so it must have been taken in 1896 or 7. It's taken at a photographers, and my son tells me that her outfit may well have been supplied by the photographer too as the aim was to make people look well-to-do, and I know my great-grandfather was a carpenter, so they probably wouldn't have been that well-off. Nanna lived to the age of nearly 96 and passed away in 1990, so that little girl had no idea that she would live for nearly a century!
