Dress up for Tea

Playdates are so much fun. Alyssa and Ruby seem to not have missed a beat all though separated for about a month. Back to their alternative world/ soap opera : "In Another World", they can play for hours with their Little Ponies or Littlest Pet Shop animals and continue the unending saga of one animal getting into mischief and the other needing to rescue its friend. When they paused for a lunch break they donned this attire, Alyssa preferred to eat in charactor, insisting on being called by any other name than her own.

My sweetheart is away for most of the week, so this has been a really long day. For the most part the kids behaved beautifully, until, of course, bed time. One hour and three visits to the bathroom, two stories, a drink of water, a few monster checks in the closets and under beds, a few thwarted attempts at a second dinner, and many tears & cuddles later, peace.
