Pheasant in the bushes

First I saw a young heron (small and spindly) but he nipped off very quickly. Then across the path walked this chap. I have a very clear photo of him against green grass, but I have posted this one of him taking a breath between pecking under the holly bush. I think his body feathers tone very well with the dead leaves : good camouflage.
