Notting Hill Carnival

I love it!!
The music, the noise, the food, the smells, the atmosphere, the whole thing :-)

This is my idea of utter, utter heaven - I went up on my own, just me, my camera, a picnic and a bottle of wine.

A fantastic afternoon, from the totally unbelievable number of people you can actually fit on an underground train, to the dancing (with this particularly lovely man!), to meeting and talking to new people, stopping off on the way home to see Beth at work in the lovely Be at one bar just outside Monument tube station, to finally getting home, having somehow managed to acquire a large carnival headdress on the way between Monument and Waterloo. (Tomorrow's blip I think :-) )
