Olympic Park Montreal

Today we visited the site of the 1976 Summer Olympics. To walk on the ground of all those athlete's was incredible. I came to Montreal just before the start of the Olympics in 1976, it was a time of excitement. The stadium is being repaired now and is still in good condition. We were able to go into the swimming arena, the pools were empty, but the awe of being in that room was wonderful. We took the tour up the tower, which is 175 meters tall and at a 45 degree angel. On a clear day you can see the Laurentian Mountains about 80 kilometers away.
