Nettle-tap

This tiny tiny moth is a Nettle-tap (Anthophila fabriciana). Its forewing is only 5mm from head to tip. It is a very common moth seen all over the UK. The larvae feed on nettles in a web on the upperside of the leaf, drawing the edges of the leaf together over it. This one was resting on a Michaelmas Daisy.
