Kowhai

Kowhai (pronounce Ko-fai) is the Maori word for yellow. You guessed it... this tree can be laden with beautiful yellow flowers. Not in mid winter though.

We planted this one a couple of years ago and I look at it every day. I reckon it deserved a blip.
