Windy Gap

This is the fourth time I have been up Great Gable and the fourth time I havent seen the view from the top :-(

The weather forecast said the cloud on the tops would clear at mid-day but it was still thick at 2pm. Of course, as soon as we descended the cloud cleared behind us.

This picture was taken from Green Gable before the descent into the aptly named Windy Gap and the final ascent to the top. The original colour photo showed no detail in the hillside because of thick cloud. Amazingly, after running it through Silver Efex Pro the hillside appeared out of the mist as if by magic.
