Before and After

Not the best of days by any manner of means.

Spent a lot of the day thinking about a fellow graduate who tragically passed away last week - his funeral was today. We didn't know each other well in University but our paths crossed a few times in years to follow. A sad reminder of our mortality and the fragile nature of our essence of being.

A reminder to cherish what we have, enjoy those close to us and perhaps to move on from things that pull us down...

The day declined into madness for various reasons including the disappointment of dropping out of a long-awaited Spanish course and culminating in a trip to A&E with Lewis with a mashed toe.....continuous news coverage of the Syrian conflict bringing the mood lower...
