Lincolnshire Wolds Railway

Today we had a trip out to Lincolnshire Wolds Railway at Ludborough. The place is very well-restored and has a real step-back-in-time charm. Unfortunately, the steam train was not running today, so travelling on one will remain unchecked on my bucket list.

The journey on the Diesel train from Ludborough to the beautiful village of North Thoresby took 15 minutes only. Back in the day when the railway was a real service, not just a tourist attraction, it would have taken a mere 4 minutes!

The train we went on, though a vintage, was cleaner and much more comfortable than some of those that are used to take passengers between Lincoln and Newark nowadays!
