One Step at a Time

Wilson Falls

Bracebridge, Ontario. Our last full day and almost 30C by mid afternoon and we walked some way to reach this spot. I guess these falls are nice enough but the very best thing about today was the lady who gave us directions to get here (as well as offering to let us swim off her dock). By some fluke, she spotted us hours later in the town and shouted 'How were the falls ?' from her car. And that, right there, sums up Canada for me. Sure, it's a beautiful country and, yes, it has some amazing wildlife. But it is the overwhelming 'niceness' of everyone we met (without exception) that will stay in my memory for years to come.
