Drove from Fort William to Thurso (with a teensy detour to Eilean Donan).
For awhile there I wasn't sure if we'd get to Thurso at all, as there was just too much scenery to ooh and aah over along the way. Just like yesterday's route through Glencoe (which i haven't uploaded yet) there was frequent screeching of the car to a halt every 5-10 minutes so we could jump out and take photos. Thankfully, that settled down after awhile, and aside from slightly scaring Luisa by paying more attention to "Otters crossing" road signs than on driving the car,* we managed to roll into Thurso without incident.
Gotta say, I love the camber on these roads. Truly gorgeous to drive on. Except the teeny dry stone walled tracks that Morag the GPS seemed determined to steer me down. Eventually we couldn't cope with her nagging anymore, and tried to switch her off and stuff her in the glove box. Morag was not Best Pleased.
* I'm a little more free-form in driving style than Luisa...
