Swallows and Amazons

Arthur Ransome is said to have based Swallows and Amazons on Coniston. There were plenty out on the water today enjoying the good weather after yesterdays downpour.

We went on a bimble down the side of the lake on the Cumbria way talking life, the dangers of capitalism and other such idealistic interests.

A quick jaunt back to Lancaster left us with an hour to kill so we hit The White Cross, my favourite Lancaster haunt and nearly missed Tims train home!
