Silage Showers
Tonight I had the another night with the twins, I knew that some of the local farmers had cut silage and would be looking to get it in tonight before the rains were coming.
The twins love being outdoors and the field at the end of lane, their field, is their playground a lot of the time. It is the same field I played in as a child about their age, they look enviously at the old ash we had a swing in as children... maybe someday!!!
We headed out, following the sound of the distant tractors and we stood and watched when we reached them as the silage previously cut and turned into rows was collected and sprayed into the trailers, every circuit of the field giving the twins another chance to wave to the boys driving the tractors, good humoured they continued to wave to the exuberant pair when I am sure after their day they really just wanted to be finished.
A lot of shades of green tonight, maybe too many but the twins insisted it was a farming blip tonight so here goes, I hope you enjoy a look at the rural idyll and defiantly better in large!!
