The Songhua River

For anyone who has been to Harbin, you will know that it is NOT the norm for boats to be docked at the road level. The river i s waaaaaaaaaaay up at the moment.. I talked with a policeman at the river and he said it's not going to go over the road.. That means the city centre is safe because it's a few meters below the riverbank.

This is a backblip because Sunday night water from the air conditioner dropped into my MAc and fried it. The cost of replacing the fried motherboard is waaaaaaaay too much so now I have a new windows laptop which I am still trying to work out how to use. It has also meant a LOT Of downloading and searching for software keys. I've also had to do a lot of checking to see if Mac versions are transferable to PC versions etc. However, I have most things on here that I want. One of the good things is, that I now have the latest versions of some programs that developers have pretty much ignored on the Mac side of things.
