One Time

One eye goes laughing,
One eye goes crying
Through the trials and trying of one life
One hand is tied,
One step gets behind
In one breath we're dying

I've been waiting for the sun to come up
Waiting for the showers to stop
Waiting for the penny to drop
One time
And I've been standing in a cloud of plans
Standing on the shifting sands
Hoping for an open hand
One time

Riding the Colnago today with the Selcof's... I found the rear tire full of flat sealant - like a LOT of the stuff! I went to pump up the tire and all this latex liquid stuff came squirting out of the nipple.... OK, guy at the shop said he filled up the new tire, but I just didn't expect so much. So I emptied it all out and reweighed the wheel from my little experiment two days ago. 65 grams of sealant!! That seems a bit extreme for such a small tire. Anyway, now that it is emptied it is now LIGHTER and much better feeling on the road. Really great on the Colnago!

haha

This old farmstead is on a main road that I usually avoid during my lunch rides due to traffic. To mix things up and with the idea of getting a picture, I took this ruote today. From the main road, it is rather difficult to get a picture, but then there is good access from this little side road. Not much left of this beautiful edifice... either rotted away or carried away. Pity. I can only imagine in it's hey-day...
