Brittle

This little ceramic lamb has been sitting in our garden happily for several years. Over last Winter the frost got to him and made his glaze brittle so that he developed a hole in his face.

We replaced him at the beginning of the Summer with a more robust (but less cute) stone sheep which now sits in place of this one. However, we have become so attached to this little lamb that we, as yet, haven’t been able to bring ourselves to throw him away. He’s sitting among some plant pots by the back door sort of on his way to the tip but never quite making it. I wonder how long he will be there. My money’s on a good few years yet :-)
