Job Done

Today, I completed my Chinese-fisherman-in-a-boat incense stick holder.
Which is just as well because the intended recipient - my stepson - arrives tomorrow for his birthday visit.

The chinaman was intended to be fairly roughly finished - you don't see many well polished Chinese peasants - but my choice of Ironwood made sure of that. It doesn't permit finely detailed carving. His boat is limewood, one of the best carving woods around.
