Food for free
After a couple of days redecorating our hall, it was a welcome change to get out into the East Lothian countryside to do some foraging in the hedgerows. We gathered plenty of blackberries and noticed rose hips, rowan berries, haws and elderberries yet to ripen. The variety of wildflowers was impressive too, with meadow sweet, vetches, balsam, bulrushes, toadflax, yarrow and horsetail to name a few.
These nasturtiums are from the garden - edible too!
