Yaffle
A proud visitor,
Finely dressed in Lincoln Green
Welcome to the feast.
This young green woodpecker visited an overgrown part of the garden (formerly know as the vegetable plot) in search of ants and other tasty morsels. He seemed to find a lot and spent a good deal of time hopping around drilling with his beak in seek them out.
Apparently, another name for the woodpecker is "Yaffle", due to their laughing cry .... hence the name of Professor Yaffle from Bagpuss
