actually, this wee toad and his chum were totally silent when i nearly fell over them on the path out of the park tonight. at least they were in the light, last night one was in the shadows and hopped in front of me and made me scream like a girl.

(yes, i know i'm female. but i don't make a regular habit of screaming like a girl at things that are small and harmless (if ugly), and am always ashamed and slightly cross with myself when i do. 'k?)
