Green
L and I went for s stroll up Roundway Hill and Oliver's Castle today.
There has never been a castle on top of the hill but they have found evidence of a bronze age settlement. Roundway Hill and Oliver's Castle is where the Royalists fought and won against the Parliamentary Cavalry in 1643. (There was a sign with all this information on, otherwise I wouldn't have a scoobies!)
I took quite a few pics of the landscape with all the patchwork fields and a few of the hill further round with all its ridges plus some macro sots but this on e of the trees just caught my attention with all its many shades of green.
As we were heading back to the car we saw a man getting himself ready in his walking boots. He then proceeded to assemble a remote control glider and walked it round to Oliver's Castle. I really wish now (with hindsight) that I had stopped and asked if we could watch and take pictures of him flying it. It fascinated Lou as she kept staring at him from the car!!!
Oh well, never mind.
